Start Your Own POD Store
I built 1001 Tees on Printify, start to finish. No agency, no dev team — just trial, error, and a few hundred hours figuring out what actually works. If you’re thinking about starting your own print-on-demand (POD) store, these are the tutorials I’d point you to first. They’re official, they’re current, and they cover the platform better than I could explain it myself.
Official Printify Tutorials
Straight from the source — no filler, no upsells buried in the content.
Watch First
Before you touch a single setting, watch this. It’s Printify’s own walkthrough — built by the people who built the platform, not a reaction video or a “here’s what I think” guess. Fifteen minutes now saves you a weekend of confusion later.
This one’s straight from Printify’s own team — start to finish, no skipped steps. If you only watch one video before signing up, make it this one.
Tools I Use
Everything below is something I actually use to run this store — some are affiliate links, most aren’t. I’m not getting paid to recommend the ones that don’t have a link attached. These are just the tools that work.
Printify
This is the backbone of 1001 Tees — not just for printing and fulfillment, but for the design work too. I use it to remove backgrounds cleanly, scale images without losing resolution, and pull everything together before it ever reaches a product mockup. No inventory, no upfront cost, no guesswork.
TextStudio.com
When I need a fast, polished text effect or a solid starting template instead of building from a blank canvas, this is where I go. It’s saved me hours on designs that needed bold typography without the learning curve of a full design tool.
Pixlr
This is where most of the actual design work for 1001 Tees happens. Full layering, full control, browser-based — no expensive software, no steep learning curve. If you’re starting out and don’t want to commit to Photoshop right away, this is a real alternative.
